Embedded Test Engineer
Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting embedded software verification for lifecycle management, including development testing, dry runs, and formal test execution.
  • Executing manual and automated test protocols, analyzing results, and supporting debugging and defect resolution.
  • Performing operating systems updates and system bring-up, supporting application integration and readiness.
  • Partnering with embedded development and OS development teams to support integration testing and rapid validation cycles.
  • Developing and executing test scripts and protocols using Python, C/C++, and MATLAB, and documenting results in JAMA and Jira defect tracking systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in embedded testing, software testing, or Linux porting testing.
  • 4+ years working within regulated environments, ideally in medical device or surgical instrumentation industries.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, and MATLAB.
  • Hands-on experience with manual and automated test protocols, including test script development and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of Linux OS lifecycle management, system bring-up, and OS verification.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JAMA and Jira.
  • Knowledge of requirements traceability, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC processes is a plus.
